Digital Services Act
The Digital Services Act (DSA) is an EU regulation that governs online intermediary services and platforms (e.g., marketplaces, social media platforms, app stores). The aim of the regulation is to promote the safety and accountability of digital services by preventing illegal and harmful activities online and combating the spread of disinformation. The regulation has been in effect since February 2024 and applies broadly to online platforms operating within the EU.
